Scrambled to vbulletin.org in complete disbelief. Alas! the news is true. Here is the official announcement.

At the Mix'07 conference in Las Vegas—Microsoft's annual event for web designers and developers, Microsoft has been dropping hints as to what we can expect in Internet explorer 8.

While the major spotlight has ben on the Microsoft's Silverlight platform, a set of tools for developing rich, Flash-like web applications, MS has also dropped hints as to what the agent of the platform will deliver(the IE8)

Ok so the pr update is now almost complete and sadly not many big time website webmasters are liking it, including yours truly.

I was recently looking for a customized search solution for my website. I wanted to take the load off my server of generating the search and so was looking at external providers that provide the search functionality.

Among the first that one can look towards is google. The google cooperative project offers search solutions using the existing pages indexed of your site by google. A pretty nifty tool and many options to integrate your search inside your website.

Jelsoft has days back announced its foray into the addon market for vbulletin. Considering thats its main rival, Invision, had for long been involved in addon products for its own flagship community board system, Invision Power Board, it was probably no surprise that jelsoft would come up with similar solutions.
