Google PR updated and tale of woes

Ok so the pr update is now almost complete and sadly not many big time website webmasters are liking it, including yours truly.

Unfortunately google has revised its algorithm for determining page rank and this means that bigger sites have actually dropped pr rather than gain it.
Case in points:

• Digitalpoint Pr drops from 7 to 6
• vBSEO drops pr from 6 to 5

Well i gave two big site examples basically cos they have a huge number of backlinks already pointing to them. Two explanations can be that the algo has been refined to look at backlinks or rather unlikely but possibly there is competition up which caused the ranks of the new sites to go up and older to go down.

well i have had no happy expereince anyway. My bigger website, TechEnclave dropped a pr from 5 to 4 while the newer one gained a pr to 4 though i expected 5.

So much for pagerank :rolleyes:
